Hi! I'm Shannon Olson, an Educational Consultant and Professional Learning Provider for schools, districts, and agencies across the United States and internationally.

I have served as an elementary school teacher, math teacher leader, instructional coach, and district-level specialist in several school districts of varying sizes and demographics. I also have experience as a state agency Elementary Mathematics Specialist, university instructor, curriculum writer, and professional learning designer and facilitator.

Having served at a district level after being at a state level, I have a unique lens regarding the needs of districts, schools, teachers, and students when it comes to developing mathematical understanding and creating the systems that provide teachers and students opportunities to thrive.

My Mission
Schools and districts have a lot to navigate when it comes to meeting requirements while remaining true to local values and priorities. It can feel overwhelming to align policy, standards, curriculum, instruction, and assessment with evidence-based practices.

Having served as an Elementary Mathematics Specialist at the school, district, and state levels for over a decade, I’ve been there. And I can guide you to make mathematics instruction more empowering for teachers and more meaningful for students.
